I’ve been researching a persistent paradox: Globally, we are shouting for Skills-Based Hiring, yet in Germany, the “BWL” (Business Administration) degree remains the ultimate gatekeeper.

My Solution: RAG-Augmented Task-Based Hiring

I’ve been developing a framework to solve this, drawing on my continuous work with Dr. Jules White (Dean of Strategic Learning Programs at Vanderbilt University) and the insights from his AI community.

Using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), we can transform how HR works with technical experts:

  1. The Expert Knowledge Base: We embed company-specific expert definitions (Scrum, SAFe, Digital Agility) into a secured knowledge database.

  2. RAG-Powered Clarity: Instead of generic AI “hallucinations,” HR uses a RAG chat to draft job ads based on actual tasks confirmed by industry standards.
