Not long ago, I heard that many companies in Germany are still required to keep their documents physically in storage. In 2025. That gave me chills.
But here’s the thing: the responsibility doesn’t lie with government alone. Companies also need to take action. Too often, I hear the excuses:
“It’s too expensive.”
“We’ll do it later.”
That mindset is exactly why progress stalls.
Digitalisation isn’t something you can solve ad hoc. And no — “saving money” is not a strategy. Cheap now means costly later.
More importantly: digital transformation is not a project with an end date. It’s like a product — it evolves, gets updates, and constantly adapts as the world changes. And the world is changing faster than ever.
Technology, markets, customer expectations — none of these stand still. If you treat digitalisation as a one-time investment, you’re already falling behind.
True transformation requires endurance, courage, and the mindset that it will never be finished. Not because you failed — but because there’s always something new to improve.
That’s not a problem. That’s the opportunity.
