Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the skills that will define success in a world increasingly shaped by AI, data, and algorithms. While technology is advancing at an incredible pace, I believe our uniquely human capacities for agility and creativity are becoming more crucial than ever.
This is why I’m so excited to dive deeper into the world of Design Thinking. It’s a methodology I’ve long admired for its focus on empathy, ideation, and rapid prototyping—all essential for navigating uncertainty and creating truly user-centered solutions.
To sharpen these skills, I’ve decided to enroll in the Design Thinking Specialization from the University of Virginia on Coursera. With a strong focus on core competencies and practical application, I’m ready to embark on this journey to master the craft.
But the real magic happens when you combine these human-centric approaches with the power of technology. That’s why I’m also taking a specific course: Generative AI in User Research and Design Thinking. This course is a perfect blend of my passions—bridging the gap between human creativity and the incredible capabilities of AI. It’s a chance to explore how we can use AI not just as a tool, but as a collaborative partner in the creative process.
I truly believe that the future belongs to those who can seamlessly combine agility with AI. It’s about leveraging technology to augment our creativity, not replace it. I can’t wait to share my learnings and insights as I progress through these courses.
Stay tuned for more! Let’s build a future where innovation is both intelligent and deeply human.

I had a chat with my Chatbuddy Mr. GPT and he liked my approach and he offered me to deliver a roadmap:
1. Setup – Your digital ecosystem
- Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) → Structure, backlog, documentation.
- Miro → Creativity, workshops, visual storytelling.
- Opal (via VPN) → AI-first workspace: focus, automation, idea flow.
- HeyGen + NotebookLM → Output (videos + podcasts).
- Blog → Knowledge hub (your base).
2. Design thinking phases – with AI augmentation
🔹 Empathise
- Miro: Generate empathy maps & personas with AI (clusters from interview notes).
- Opal: Automatic summaries from user interviews or documents.
- Atlassian: Derive user stories directly from interview results.
🔹 Define
- Miro: AI-supported problem statements (‘Reframe the problem’).
- Confluence: Document problem definition, use AI for consistency checks.
🔹 Ideate
- Miro: AI brainstorming (‘10 crazy ideas in 5 minutes’).
- Opal: Cluster ideas, AI evaluates impact vs. feasibility.
- Jira: Each idea is written as a story/epic in the backlog.
🔹 Prototype
- Miro: Low-fi prototypes, user flows, journey maps.
- Opal: Automatic mockups or text-based prototype ideas.
- HeyGen: Short explanatory videos with your avatar → make the prototype experience ‘tangible’.
🔹 Test
- Miro: Feedback boards with AI clustering of feedback.
- Opal: Sentiment analysis of user comments.
- Jira: Adjustments directly back into the backlog.
3. Output – Your content ecosystem
- Blog post → in-depth insight into method + case study.
- HeyGen video → short pitch/explanation for stakeholders.
- Podcast (NotebookLM, 3 languages) → greater reach & informality.
- Community contributions (Prof. Jules White Circle) → peer recognition & feedback.
4. Added value – your unique selling point
- You are not just a certified Design Thinker, but someone who lives and breathes AI-augmented thinking.
- Your lab shows that you combine creativity, structure and AI to create a scalable framework.
- This puts you five years ahead of the market (while Germany is still printing PDFs 😏).
To give my thought some proof of concept, I have asked Perplexity.
The importance of both agility and creativity has seen a marked increase as businesses and individuals adapt to a world shaped by AI, data, and algorithms.
-
Agility: More organizations prioritize agility to respond swiftly to changes, drive continuous innovation, and maintain a competitive edge. AI is increasingly used to support decision-making and organizational flexibility, making agility a top focus in leadership and business strategy.
-
Creativity: Creativity is emerging as a crucial skill for career longevity and workplace value, especially as AI automates routine tasks. For instance, a recent survey found that 54% of people consider creative skills their best asset and career safeguard in an AI-enhanced world—a jump from previous years. Creativity now means turning ideas into actionable solutions and is essential for interpreting AI insights, driving market differentiation, and fostering employee engagement.
While attempts to generate a chart directly based on these trends weren’t successful, surveys and expert commentary indicate an upward trajectory in both areas. Professionals and organizations increasingly recognize that agility and creativity are vital for survival, innovation, and differentiation in a rapidly evolving, AI-powered world.
